Fishing on The Rhinelander Chain
The Rhinelander chain offers some of the very best fishing in Northern Wisconsin. At 30′ deep, Boom Lake is known for Muskies. The Rhinelander chain also offers species of Smallmouth Bass, Crappies and Northern Pike. Walleyes are also caught and, when combined with the abundant panfish present here, make for some delicious table fare. Many of these fish are caught through out the season, including during the winter while ice fishing. Many locals agree that the Rhinelander Chain offers some of the best fishing in The Northwoods.
Recreation on The Rhinelander Chain
The Rhinelander Chain offers many recreational opportunities. During the winter months, Snowmobilers utilize a major trail traversing Boom Lake. Many Northern Wisconsin snowmobiling trails are found throughout the Rhinelander Chain area. During the warmer months pontooning and boating along The Rhinelander Chain is common. With access to all four lake along the chain and the Wisconsin River, you’re always bound to find a new secluded bay, or inlet. Numerous restaurants and taverns are located along these waterways offering many options to stop for lunch or dinner. The Northwoods Country Club is also located on the Rhinelander Chain offering you the option to get to your tee time by boat. The opportunities for recreation and relaxation are endless.
